Thesis- The presence of art in science is not what it should be, although science is advancing every moment. Art is something that can develop new ideas and find ways to work through things that science has not figured out yet.

Yo-yo Ma- In Yo-yo Ma’s writing, he claims that integrating art into education and lifestyles will provide more empathy. I agree with his idea, on the one hand empathy is missing in todays world and the addition of art is a fantastic thought. On the other hand, many teachers and parents do not feel the same about this topic and may feel that art is a waste of education.

Lehrer- In Lehrer’s writing he says that he wants to close the culture gap of art and sciences. He uses the idea of how metaphors are in art and how they are needed in order for things like neuroscience and physics to develop. I enjoy his ideas and agree with most of them. He says that art will introduce insights and perspectives into science.

Article. In the article that I chose, the author talks about how social media is taking over the younger generation. With the addition of a post or video on all kinds of social media that addresses the fact that people are not talking face to face anymore, it will make people more aware. Young adults need a wake up call, and with this they will be able to improve just like science will improve with the addition of art. People will begin to get more out of their lives and see the beauty of what is around them rather then what they see on their phones.
