• Draft: Multimodal Statement that includes an explanation for your individual multimodal choices as well as your reasoning for where you incorporated your media and how this placement influenced your overall argument. For example, if you choose to include an image, why that image, in particular, and why did you choose to place it where you placed it? How does your image work with your linguistic text to achieve your goal? Your Multimodal Statement will count toward 10% of your paper’s overall grade. 

My paper has some multimodal elements in it. I have added mostly some pictures so far.

• The first thing that you see when you look at my paper is a set of eyes starring at you. I chose this image because It is telling you without words that you better read my essay. It gives a mysterious vibe that I like. I put a very similar set at the very end of my paper as well, and they are looking up at the paper. I like they are simple but very interesting pictures.
• The next element you see are shapes. I put a circle, triangle and square together next to the word art. They are the basics of drawing. Soon after there is a sun that it made from a cicle and many little triangles, I think this connects with the art piece of my essay because it shows how something boring and make something amazing.
• I also added a picture of puzzle pieces coming togehter from two different directions. This was added in the part that says “science is missing art.” It is a cool connection and is the perfect picture to show how art and science can be separate but together at the same time.
• Next thing I added is a picture of the word STEAM, and in each letter it shows what that letter is for. For example in the S it is filled with an astronaught on the moon. I put this photo into my essay at a part where I am talking about the STEM and STEAM educations.
• The last thing I added is a funny comic. It is integrated in the paragraph about social media and how this generation is obsessed. THe comic is about two people on a date and one is on their phone while the other is trying to talk to them.
