  • Blog# 7: List 4 areas from the rubric that provide you with the greatest learning opportunity. Feel free to include areas that confuse or confound you. Spend a few sentences elaborating on each choice.

#1- The first area from the rubric is the “conversation.” The conversation is a bit harder for me to nail down then other things. It is hard for me to tie everything together and engage the texts and use enough quotes in the correct places.

#2- The second area from the rubric is in the “writer as driver.” I am not sure how to make my analysis “fresh, nuanced, and honest.” I feel like I state the facts and may not even think about what I am writing at some points and I need to do that. I don’t want to just write for the class, I want to write for myself and my enjoyment.

#3- The third area from the rubric is something that says to watch out for. Which is having an insecure relationship with the reading material. I feel like at times, that is how I am with the reading material because I don’t enjoy the topic. If I work on digging into the text then I know I will form a strong analysis.

#4- The fourth area from the rubric is in “organization.” My paragraphs are always different lengths depending on what I have to say. Some paragraphs are longer because I have more supporting evidence for what I am talking about and vise versa. My intro and conclusion are usually the shortest paragraphs and I am not sure if that is a good or bad thing.
